If you think you have mold in your home, the first step would be to confirm the presence of mold and determine what specific mold type is present. This is done through mold testing performed by our IESO certified mold inspector.

SKYS Property Inspection Consultants offers a choice of tests:

• A SWAB TEST is used to check visible molds. This test is good for bathrooms, kitchens and other areas exposed to moisture and/or humidity.
  

• An AIR TEST is used to determine concentration levels and types of airborne mold particles in a particular room(s) inside the home when there is no visible growth, but may have unusual smells.
  

After collection, the tests are sent to an independent lab for analysis.  The results are typically available in 1-3 days. 

Once the presence of mold has been confirmed and the type of mold has been determined, steps can be taken to properly and safely remove the existing mold.
